In March 2026, team members from Beacon Development Group joined the SVP of HumanGood Affordable Housing and VP of Operations at the Housing California conference in Sacramento—an annual gathering centered around this year’s theme, “Rooted in Community: Realizing California’s Promise Together.”
Throughout the conference, attendees explored a wide range of timely and impactful topics, from strategies to produce and preserve affordable housing to the latest updates on federal and state policies. Sessions also tackled urgent challenges such as rebuilding communities after wildfire disasters and developing innovative solutions to address homelessness.
A highlight of the event was the Gubernatorial Candidate Forum, where several candidates shared their perspectives and proposed strategies for tackling California’s housing crisis if elected governor.
Aside from the workshop sessions, the experience of connecting with passionate professionals and organizations across the industry was inspiring and motivating. The conference provided updated information but also strengthened the commitment to our work ahead—while offering valuable opportunities to build meaningful connections.
