Beacon is partnering with LifeWire, the largest provider of services for survivors of domestic violence in the state of Washington, to develop a transitional housing project. The 25-unit project will provide confidential transitional housing and supportive services for very low-income families healing from domestic violence and chemical dependency. Resident survivors will have access to LifeWire advocates to build a foundation of stable supports to prepare for permanent rental housing including transportation, income, healthcare and childcare. Advocacy staff will be based on site and will offer weekly domestic violence support groups, therapy groups, one-on-one support, assistance towards personal goals, and basic needs support including food, clothing and other items.
